Amir Khan wants Floyd Mayweather bout

Khan wants Mayweather fight

British boxer Amir Khan has expressed his desire to go up against unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jnr next year.

The American fighter extended his unbeaten record to 45 after seeing off Saul Alvarez on points in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Following the victory, Mayweather's father, who also acts as his coach, revealed that he wants his son to go toe-to-toe with Bolton-born Khan in his next fight.

Responding to the call, Khan wrote on Twitter: "Floyd Snr wants his son to face me. Let's get it on. I've never turned down any fight. Speed v speed."

Khan is due to face Devon Alexander on December 7.
