Amir Khan to fight Luis Collazo in May

Amir Khan has confirmed that he will fight Luis Collazo in Las Vegas on May 3.

The Bolton-born fighter had hoped to take on Floyd Mayweather on that date, but the American opted to face Marcos Maidana instead.

However, 27-year-old Khan will now compete on the undercard at the MGM Grand against Collazo, a 32-year-old Puerto Rican with a record of 35 wins from his 39 bouts.

Khan's fellow Brit, Ricky Hatton, previously defeated Collazo.
