Khan: Kell Brook uses cocaine

Amir Khan has accused Kell Brook of using cocaine.

Amir Khan has told Kell Brook that he will never fight him following months of verbal sparring between the two fighters.

The 25-year-old has been angered by the Sheffield man's conduct in trying to engineer a bout and has launched into a tirade on Twitter.

Khan, who faces Lamont Peterson in Las Vegas on May 19, accused Brook of taking cocaine and being involved in nightclub fights.

"I've heard things about Kell Brook so I wouldn't want to fight him," tweeted the 2004 Olympic silver medallist. "He's been seen taking cocaine and stabbed in a club, drunk and arrested numerous times. Boxing is a professional sport for those who have discipline and respect.

"I'm after the big boys, Peterson, [Juan Manuel] Marquez, [Victor] Ortiz, [Devon] Alexander, [Floyd] Mayweather – all great fighters. Brook got a long way to go, ain't fought nobody.

"Brook calling me a 'queen' then begs me to give him a pay day, for that quote talk like a man instead of talking like a queer! I promise because of all his and [Eddie] Hearn's bull**t I will never give him a shot!

"Brook doesn't deserve to fight the King, ever! I'll never box him now. This reminds me of Ricky Hatton and Junior Witter – begging for a payday. Well Kelly can use my name to promote himself now."

Brook defeated domestic rival Matthew Hatton in Sheffield last month.
