Khan: 'I could beat Mayweather'

Former world champion Amir Khan has insisted that he has the "speed and ability" to defeat Floyd Mayweather.

Khan could be in line for a bout with Mayweather should he be successful in his next fight in December, and the Olympic silver medalist believes that he could end the American's undefeated record.

The 26-year-old told BoxNation: "To beat Floyd you have to beat him at his home game — box him the way he fights.

"I have got the speed and ability that can cope with him."

The Bolton-born fighter recorded his 28th win in 31 fights with a points victory over Julio Diaz last month.
