Amir Khan claims Lamont Peterson conspiracy

Khan claims Peterson conspiracy

Amir Khan has claimed that an unidentified man at ringside interfered with the judges' scorecards during his defeat to Lamont Peterson last month.

Khan lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles on a controversial points decision in Washington.

The 25-year-old has since posted pictures and videos on Twitter highlighting the mystery man communicating with the WBA official.

"We don't know who the official is," said Khan's business manager Asif Vali. "We've asked the question, we've written to Washington DC and we're still waiting for their response, and we've written to the IBF and they've still not responded.

"If the answers are legitimate, fine, we'll accept them. If they're not legitimate, then we hope the rematch takes place, and if the rematch takes place, all this can be squashed."

Khan's appeal over the points decision will be heard later this month.
