Mikkel Kessler: 'I'm at my peak to face Carl Froch'

Mikkel Kessler insists that he has reached his physical and mental peak ahead of Saturday's super-middleweight showdown with Carl Froch at the O2 Arena.

Mikkel Kessler has insisted that he is in peak physical condition to face Carl Froch for the second time in a super-middleweight unification clash this weekend.

Kessler and Froch will finally collide in a hotly-anticipated rematch at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, three years on from the Dane's unanimous decision victory over the 'Cobra'.

After sparring British duo George Groves and Nathan Cleverly in his pre-fight preparations, Kessler has declared that he feels unbeatable less than four days before fight night.

He told BBC Sport: "I'm feeling good. I'm feeling ready to fight Carl, I think I'm at my peak now, it couldn't be more perfect timing. I feel like no-one can beat me now.

"I get more hungry to fight [Groves and Cleverly] because I know how much they want it. I had it before and you have to remember where you are from, and how you got there.

"Somebody told me this, that Carl was angry. I don't know how good friends they are."

The 33-year-old WBA champion has lost just twice in a 48-fight professional career, with his only defeats coming to unbeaten pair Joe Calzaghe and Andre Ward.
