Anthony Joshua: 'Dillian Whyte fight could go the distance'

Joshua: 'Whyte bout could go the distance'

British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has claimed that his upcoming fight against Dillian Whyte at London's O2 Arena on December 12 could go the distance.

The Olympic champion, who has won every one of his 14 bouts by knockout, will face the man who beat him in their amateur careers six years ago.

"This fight has the potential to go the distance and Dillian could be the man to take me beyond three rounds," the Daily Mail quotes Joshua as saying.

"People think they can beat me until I get in the ring and everything they believed they could do changes. They all want to jump on the hype train. Dillian will step in the ring, I'll get the result and it'll be on to the next one."

Whyte was given a two-year drugs ban for inadvertently taking a banned substance.
