Badou Jack open to facing James DeGale in London

WBC super-middleweight champion Badou Jack says that he is open to facing IBF title holder James DeGale in a unification clash in the United Kingdom.

WBC super-middleweight champion Badou Jack has said that he is willing to face James DeGale in the United Kingdom providing that the fight is scored fairly.

Jack successfully defended his world title against Lucien Bute last month but the bout was only scored a draw despite the champion appearing to do enough to win by unanimous decision on the cards.

There has been talk of Jack travelling to London to face IBF title holder DeGale in a unification clash, and although Jack feels that the showdown will likely be staged in Las Vegas instead, he is open to making his first appearance in England.

The 32-year-old told OnTheRopesBoxing.com: "As long as the judges are fair. They weren't fair over here either so you never know. Most likely it's going to happen in Vegas but you never know. I have to wait and see what Floyd says but I'm ready to go over there if I have to.

"If it was just only up to me and we get paid the same, of course I want to fight in Vegas so I can have my family here. I got some fans in the UK so it really doesn't matter, we'll see."

While the venue of their fight remains unclear, Jack and DeGale are likely to meet at some point during the autumn.
