Bernard Hopkins eyes one more fight after loss to Sergey Kovalev

Bernard Hopkins confirms that he is looking to fight one more time after losing his unification bout against Sergey Kovalev on the weekend.

Bernard Hopkins has revealed that he is not ready to announce his retirement from professional boxing following his defeat to Sergey Kovalev on the weekend.

The 49-year-old was emphatically beaten by Kovalev in the light-heavyweight title unification bout, but he is keen to end his career on a high, rather than walk away from the sport after the disappointment in Atlantic City.

"Who will I fight? I don't know. But it will be somebody I will be an underdog against because I want to be the underdog," Hopkins told reporters.

"If this is the last time I'm going into the ring, I will not cheat myself. It will not be a freak show. I will never short-change myself and my dignity.

"It will be somebody that's a champion. It will be from a division beneath me but where they're comfortable and I'm comfortable. It will be someone that's dominating today."

Hopkins has won 55 of his 66 bouts since joining the professional ranks in 1988.
