Eddie Hearn makes Carl Frampton offer to fight Scott Quigg

Eddie Hearn says that he has made an offer to Barry McGuigan which would see Scott Quigg defend his WBA super bantamweight title against Carl Frampton in March.

Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that an offer has been made to Carl Frampton to fight WBA super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg.

The unbeaten pair could finally stand toe to toe in March, providing that the Bury fighter successfully defends his title on November 23.

Frampton is also scheduled to defend his EBU and IBF Inter-continental titles against Jeremy Parodi next Saturday, and Hearn is confident of striking a deal with the fighter he used to represent.

"We have made a huge offer to Frampton's licenced manager and promoter Barry McGuigan for Carl to fight Scott in March on Sky Sports, and are looking forward to opening talks in the coming weeks," he told Sky Sports News.

Reports have suggested that Frank Warren had already offered Hearn a February date.
