Eddie Hearn: 'David Haye, Tony Bellew rematch not yet finalised'

Hearn: 'Haye, Bellew not yet finalised'

Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that there is a "real possibility" of David Haye and Tony Bellew facing off for a second time, but nothing has yet been agreed.

Bellew picked up victory when the two men met at the O2 Arena in London six months ago thanks to an 11th-round stoppage against his injured opponent.

After spending time recovering from a damaged Achilles, Haye tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that 'all terms have finally be agreed' for the rematch, which is likely to take place in December if given the go-ahead.

Hearn says that he is still awaiting Bellew to put pen to paper, however, telling Sky Sports News: "Nothing is signed yet but I'm catching up with Tony later this week and you can cross your fingers for an announcement in the next week or so.

"It's taken a long time to get this rematch even discussed and now there is a real possibility it could be next."

Former world heavyweight champion Haye also has his sights set on a fight with Anthony Joshua in another all-British bout next year.
