David Haye targets bout in Dubai ahead of comeback

Haye eager to fight in Dubai

David Haye has revealed that he is hoping to secure a fight in Dubai when he officially makes his return to the ring as a professional.

The 33-year-old recently suggested that a comeback was scheduled for later this year, despite being told by doctors that his career was in doubt after injuring a shoulder preparing to fight Tyson Fury, and he believes that a bout in Dubai is one of the more attractive options available.

"I want to have one of my big comeback fights in Dubai," Haye told members of the media.

"It's no secret I want to become heavyweight champion of the world again and I want Dubai to be part of that.

"If the call was there for it and the venue was right, the weather is perfect in September and an open-air stadium would work quite nicely."

Haye has not fought since beating Dereck Chisora in July 2012.
