Ricky Hatton: 'Paulie Malignaggi can wait'

Ricky Hatton has revealed that he will not return to boxing with a fight against one of the sport's household names.

The 33-year-old came out of retirement on Friday and there had been speculation about a match with Paulie Malignaggi after the WBA welterweight champion revealed an interest in the fight.

However, Hatton has been quick to dismiss the possibility of fighting a world-class fighter on November 24.

Hatton told BBC Radio 5 Live: "I have already been linked with fights with Malignaggi, Amir Khan, Kell Brook and all these guys.

"There is no point in talking about any of them until I show what I have still got left on November 24."

Hatton has already fought Malignaggi in 2008, stopping the American in the 11th round in Las Vegas.
