Stuart Hall handed opportunity to reclaim IBF bantamweight title

British bantamweight Stuart Hall will face mandatory challenger Randy Caballero for the vacant IBF title later this year.

British bantamweight Stuart Hall will be given the opportunity to reclaim the IBF title in an encounter with mandatory challenger Randy Caballero.

Hall suffered defeat on a split decision to Paul Butler last month, but the new champion has opted to drop back down to the super-flyweight division.

Butler's decision quickly resulted in Hall's camp making a case with the IBF that the 34-year-old deserved a chance to win back his title, and their request has been granted by the governing body.

The date and venue of the contest have yet to be decided, but Hall is likely to enter the fight as an underdog against the American, who is undefeated in 21 matches.
