Fury eyes Klitschko bout

Tyson Fury has vowed to end the Klitschko's stranglehold over the heavyweight division.

The 24-year-old takes on American veteran Vinny Maddalone in Somerset on Saturday in a bid to stretch his unbeaten record to 19 fights.

However, the former British and Commonwealth champion has one eye on a showdown with one of the Klitschko brothers and said that he is waiting for the right time to strike.

"I'm starting to feel like I'm ready for the title and I know that I will get my chance," said Fury. "I think that I could get a Klitschko brother now, but that is not part of the plan and when I get my chance I want to win.

"I'm not in the boxing business to make up the numbers and just be another loser on the Klitschkos' record – when I get my chance I will win it and keep it.

"I did a better job on Dereck Chisora than Vitali Klitschko did when they met for the world title fight, and I'm waiting for my chance when the time is right."

Fury stopped Martin Rogan in the fifth round on his last outing.
