Carl Froch: 'George Groves has developed a whopping ego'

Carl Froch insists that Saturday's opponent George Groves has developed a "whopping ego" ahead of their bout in Manchester.

WBA and IBF champion Carl Froch has insisted that he will take "great pleasure" in knocking out fellow Brit George Groves this weekend.

The pair go toe-to-toe in the ring in Manchester on Saturday, and Froch has described the unbeaten Groves as a "bad lad".

"He has developed a whopping ego and he seems to have turned into a bit of a bad lad," Froch told BBC Sport.

"It is uncalled for and I don't like that. I am going to take great pleasure in knocking him out."

The 36-year-old has lost two out of 33 bouts.
