Carl Froch: 'Fight with George Groves will not last 12 rounds'

Carl Froch believes that his bout with George Groves later this month will not last 12 rounds.

Carl Froch has predicted that the bout between himself and George Groves on May 31 will not last 12 rounds.

The WBA and IBF super-middleweight faces his fellow Brit in a rematch of their controversial bout from last November, but he believes that he is in a better position to beat Groves convincingly on this occasion.

"I am always physically in great shape, I always train hard and dig in but the feeling I am getting now, fitness wise and mentally, it's just chalk and cheese from the first fight," Froch told the Daily Mail.

"I don't think the fight will go the full 12 rounds. The pace and the intensity I'm going to set from round one, I'm convinced George Groves hasn't got 12 championship rounds in him. He's not experienced."

Former heavyweight world champion David Haye has suggested that Groves has the advantage heading into the fight at Wembley.
