Nathan Cleverly "ready for war" against Tony Bellew in November rematch

Cleverly "ready for war" against Bellew

Nathan Cleverly has admitted that he is "ready for war" against Tony Bellew when the two go toe to toe in the ring for a rematch on November 22.

The two will meet at cruiserweight level at the Echo Arena in Liverpool after Cleverly defended his WBO world light-heavyweight title in a bout against Bellew back in 2011.

In this afternoon's press conference, Cleverly said: "This is my fifth time here in Liverpool now. Hopefully it will be my fifth success.

"This fight has been three years in the making. Myself and Bellew went to war in 2011. It was a close fight, too close for comfort.

"This rematch - he's whinged, he's moaned, he's cried. He's wanted this rematch and now he's got it. Let's get it on. He says this is his weight and it suits him better. Let's find out. I'm up for it. I'm ready for war."

A world title opportunity could come for the winner of this bout.
