Nathan Cleverly: 'I need time to settle at cruiserweight'

Welshman Nathan Cleverly believes that he will need time to settle in the cruiserweight division before people begin to see the best of him.

Welshman Nathan Cleverly has insisted that he will be able to adapt to his new weight division when he makes his debut at cruiserweight later this month.

Cleverly hasn't fought since losing his WBO light-heavyweight title to Sergey Kovalev in August, and Cleverly, who will face Guyana's Sean Corbin in Cardiff, believes that he may need a few contests before people begin to see the best of him.

The 27-year-old is quoted by Wales Online as saying: "I need a few fights to settle into the weight. You are going to come up against some big guys and I need to see how I react to that and deal with it.

"I think that I will handle it well and that's what we'll find out on May 17."

Sports Mole will be providing live text commentary of the fight along with Lee Selby's WBC international featherweight clash with Romulo Koasicha and the highly-anticipated rematch between Gary Buckland and Gavin Rees.
