Chris Eubank Jr: 'Gennady Golovkin is beatable'

British middleweight Chris Eubank Jr insists that WBA champion Gennady Golovkin is "beatable".

British middleweight Chris Eubank Jr has backed himself to become the first man to defeat WBA champion Gennady Golovkin.

Golovkin, who has won 30 of his 33 professional fights inside the distance, is regarded by many as the heir to the throne of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr, who retired from the sport last weekend.

However, Eubank, who holds the interim WBA belt, has insisted that the hard-hitting Kazakh is "beatable" and that he would exploit any weaknesses should they meet in the future.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I want whoever has the belts. Obviously you've got your man Gennady Golovkin, who is seen as one of the pound-for-pound best.

"I personally see weaknesses in his boxing style and I believe when I get my opportunity, I'll be able to exploit those weaknesses. There is no maybe about it. He's 100% beatable and I am the man to do it."

Eubank is expected to defend his interim belt before the end of 2015.
