Chisora plays down trainer bust-up

Dereck Chisora has played down reports of a bust-up with his trainer ahead of next month's controversial fight with David Haye.

Chisora and Don Charles came to blows during training recently, leading the former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion to suggest that Charles had shown him a lack of respect.

However, Chisora insisted that such altercations are normal when tensions rise ahead of a big fight.

"This has been made out to be a big deal because people don't see what goes on behind the gym doors," said Chisora.

"We are always arguing and rowing ahead of fights, it's nothing new. When a fight as big as this against Haye is coming up, tensions are going to be high because it means everything to me to win.

"We were both cool again soon after and now we're focused on beating Haye."

Haye has come out of retirement to fight Chisora on July 14 in a match sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation after the British Boxing Board of Control refused to ratify the bout.
