Joe Calzaghe: 'Boxing management would be perfect for me'

Joe Calzaghe believes that going down the route of becoming a boxing manager would be "perfect" for him.

Joe Calzaghe has admitted that he would "be good" at being a boxing manager, but never considered coming out of retirement after hanging up his boxing gloves in 2009.

The undefeated former world super-middleweight and light-heavyweight champion quit the ring with a record of 46 wins from 46 fights.

When asked by BBC Sport if he ever considered returning to the ring, Calzaghe said: "Losing the weight and getting punched in the head - nope, don't fancy it. I've done my bit.

"Managing is something I'll be good at. I was self-managed for a lot of my career as well so I know both sides. That will be perfect for me."

A new feature-length documentary called Mr Calzaghe is to go out on general release on November 23.
