Ricky Burns ready for WBO defence against Paulus Moses

Burns set for world title defence

Ricky Burns will make the first defence of his WBO lightweight title against Namibia's Paulus Moses in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old was promoted to 'full champion' last week, following Juan Manuel Marquez's decision to vacate the strap to campaign at welterweight.

Burns, who beat Michael Katsidis to win the 'interim' title, joined Welshman Nathan Cleverly as Britain's only current world champions.

The Scot will now go toe-to-toe with Moses, a former WBA champion, at the Braehead Arena on March 10.
