Kell Brook: 'I want to show I'm the best'

British welterweight Kell Brook admits that he is eager to show the world that he belongs at the highest level when he faces IBF champion Shawn Porter on Saturday night.

British welterweight Kell Brook has revealed that he expects his clash with IBF champion Shawn Porter to turn into a "dog fight".

Brook has travelled to California to compete in his first world title encounter, and the Sheffield fighter has admitted that he wants to make a positive statement against the American.

The 28-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I'm really excited now. I've come over here and I can already feel the buzz in the air. I've done the hard training and it's time for me to get in the ring to show the world that I am the best.

"I think at times, it will end up in a dog fight in there but I am a more polished boxer and I'm ready to do dog-fight. I'm ready to do anything to get the win."
