Kell Brook earns unanimous win over Matthew Hatton

A unanimous points decision earned Kell Brook victory against Matthew Hatton in their welterweight bout at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena on Saturday night.

Brook controlled the opening rounds and gave his opponent a barrage of jabs in the fifth as he turned the screw on Hatton.

The 25-year-old asserted his dominance further when he floored Hatton in the ninth with a sharp left hook.

Hatton fought on and proved resilient with a late rally, but Brook ended with a flourish as he cornered his opponent before unleashing a number of stinging shots.

Without a breakthrough after 12 rounds, the judges ruled overwhelmingly in favour of Brook.
