Broner: 'Mayweather has aided my preparations'

Adrien Broner has revealed that he has been picking up tips from Floyd Mayweather Jr ahead of his showdown with Shawn Porter.

Broner will attempt to put himself in line for another shot at a world title at 147lbs against Porter, and the brash American has predicted that he could potentially inflict the first stoppage defeat on his opponent.

The 25-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "With Floyd Mayweather in there, he teaches me a lot. He's teaching me. We talk all day and he comes to watch me train all the time.

"This is the first game that I'm going to do a lot of things. It might be the first time I stop Shawn Porter."

The multi-weight world champion has recorded three successive victories since losing to Marcos Maidana in 2013.
