British Lionhearts confirm 38-strong squad

The British Lionhearts confirm their squad for the World Series of Boxing in 2015.

The British Lionhearts have confirmed their squad for the World Series of Boxing in 2015.

The 38-strong squad includes eight medallists from the 2014 Commonwealth Games, in addition to 30 boxers from the GB Boxing Podium and Podium Potential squads. Meanwhile, there are also eight overseas selections.

England's Antony Fowler, Scott Fitzgerald and Joe Joyce, who all won gold in Glasgow, have been included, in addition to England's silver and bronze medallists Qais Ashfaq and Sam Maxwell.

Welsh trio Ashley Williams, Sean McGoldrick and Joe Cordina, who all won bronze at the Commonwealth Games, are also in the squad, while Andrew Selby has also been included.

The notable absentee comes from Scotland, with Josh Taylor unable to compete after recently undergoing hand surgery.

The first match takes place on January 15 against the China Dragons.
