Tony Bellew says that he will punish Isaac Chilemba when they step into the ring in Liverpool on Saturday night.

Tony Bellew has declared that he is "willing to die" against Isaac Chilemba on Saturday night.

The Liverpool light-heavyweight takes on the Malawian in his home city, with the winner taking a huge step towards a fight with WBC champion Chad Dawson.

Bellew, 30, admitted that his opponent may have the edge in speed, but has vowed to emerge victorious.

"It's fight week and I'm sick of talking," Bellew told Sky Sports News. "I don't care, I'm past caring now. At the end of the day, I'm going to get in the ring and do him damage, it's as simple as that.

"He might have a little bit of speed on me [but] I'm going to make him pay for every single mistake he makes on Saturday night. I'm taking and keeping this title, it's as simple as that. This belt's mine. it's not going nowhere, he's in for a night of pain.

"I'm willing to do anything, go to any level. Come Saturday night I'm willing to die in that ring, if so, be it. I'll do anything to win and that's the level it's going."

Bellew's only defeat came in a WBO title fight against Nathan Cleverly.
