Adrien Broner arrested in Miami?

World lightweight champion Adrien Broner was reportedly arrested earlier today in Miami on suspicion of battery.

Broner posted a picture of what appeared to be his mugshot on his personal Instagram account, with a caption on Twitter linked to the post reading: "They tried to keep a nigga locked down in MIA."

The image included details of the arrest, including a charge of battery and a bail bond posted of £993, but has since been removed.

BoxingScene.com confirmed with the Miami police department that Broner had been arrested but would not disclose any further details on the case.

The 23-year-old continued his unbeaten professional career last month with a knockout victory over Gavin Rees.
