Selby secures London 2012 spot

Flyweight Andrew Selby has revealed that he is "over the moon" after securing his place in the Great Britain team for the Olympic Games in London next year.

The 22-year-old had won the first bout of a three-fight contest by 26-12 against Khalid Yafai yesterday afternoon.

However, Yafai was unable to meet the required weight for today's fight, allowing Welshman Selby to take the encounter 2-0.

"I'm over the moon, it still hasn't hit me yet," Selby told BBC Sport. "It'll hit me when I get home."

Selby won a gold medal at the recent European Amateur Boxing Championships.
