Gold medallist Lennox Lewis reveals to Sports Mole what advice he is planning to give Britain's young hopefuls ahead of this year's Olympic Games in London.

Lennox Lewis has revealed that he is willing to give Britain's boxers his advice ahead of this year's Olympic Games in London.

The now-retired West Ham-born boxer won super heavyweight gold while competing for Canada during the 1988 Games in Seoul.

When asked by Sports Mole this afternoon what sort of impact his triumph in South Korea had on his career, the 46-year-old replied: "Very big, very big indeed."

The most recent undisputed world heavyweight champion went on to reveal the message that he is keen to press home to all of the British hopefuls.

"How many times have you ever won the Olympics?" said Lewis. "That's what I want to say to the Olympic squad. When you go to the Olympics, what medal do you think they remember?

"When do you ever think you're going to come back to the Olympics? So you know what you've got to do. It's like that gold ticket into the professionals. You go straight to the best promoters out there and they move you along."

Lewis was speaking to Sports Mole at a Laureus Sport for Good Foundation project Street League event at the Calthorpe Project in London.
