23.50Please joing us again tomorrow for day six. Goodnight!

23.49Before I go, I'll leave you with this - enjoy!

23.48Both fighters have tough encounters. Ogogo takes on Ukrainian world champion
Ievgen Khytrov at around 2.30pm, while Taylor goes up against Italy's Domenico Valentino at 8.30pm.

23.45Tomorrow sees the last 16 of the lightweight and middleweight tournaments. That means Josh Taylor. That means Anthony Ogogo.

23.44And finally, Anthony Joshua made it five wins out of five for Team GB's boxers with a narrow victory over Cuba's Felix Savon.

23.43The referee in the bout between Cuba's Jose Larduet and Iran's Ali Mazaheri stole the headlines with a bizarre display of officiating.

23.41Then came the Shimuzu/Abdulhamidov bar room brawl, which ended with the Azeri hanging on by the skin of his teeth. Probably should have been disqualified, but that's Olympic boxing!

23.40Luke Campbell did well to overcome tough opposition in the form of Italy's Jahyn Vittorio Parrinello.

23.39Good performances from Robenilson Vieira and John Joe Nevin in the afternoon session. Medzhidov looked strong in the super heavys as well.

23.37That bout brings the curtain down on day five. It has been a much better showing today than it was yesterday. Great fights, great fighters and some strange goings on.

23.30Robbery seems too strong of a word because he didn't do too badly, but I think Savon can feel hard done by.

23.29I'm sorry but I can't see how Joshua has won that fight.

DecisionJoshua wins 17-16

Round 3Two nice shots from the Cuban! He finished the stronger. Decision time...

Round 3Savon is going on the offensive!

Round 3Savon needs to do something here. Joshua is leading this round so far and it is a round the Cuban must win.

Round 3Good combination from Joshua. Powerful shots.

Round 3Joshua is standing off more now.

End of Round 2Joshua leads by two now. Home-cooked decision in the works here... I'm seeing Savon picking Joshua off time and time again here...

Round 2Big right hand from Savon throws Joshua off balance!

Round 2Savon's jab is working exquisitely.

Round 2Decent work close up from Joshua. Savon lands a good left. The Cuban happy to box off the back foot. A good exhange of punches. Great fight so far!

Round 2Joshua pops the jab out but Savon catches it on his gloves. Savon replies with one of his own that finds the mark.

End of Round 1Wow.. Joshua leads by one. Not sure about that one.

Round 1Three-punch combination from Joshua. He is is starting to settle a bit but Savon replies with a nice shot. The Cuban is still on top.

Round 1Joshua comes forward and lands a nice straight right.

Round 1Savon has started better here.

23.16Joshua receives a hero's reception. Seconds out, round one!

23.15Last bout of the night - Anthony Joshua takes on Erislandy Savon. Tough, but achievable!

23.11Zhang has stopped the Linde with a thunderous right hook.

23.08Comfortable opener for Zhang. He looks on course for the next round.

23.04Up next: Zhang Zhilei (China) vs Johan Linde (Australia)

22.48Kean plants a thunderous shot on Yoka's chin.

22.47On now: Simon Kean (Canada) vs Tony Yoka (France)

22.41Dychko is boxing beautifully here. He's putting on a boxing clinic.

22.29Up next: Ivan Dychko (Kazakhstan) vs Erik Pfeifer (Germany)

22.14On now: Julio Castillo Torres (Ecuador) vs Siarhei Karneyeu (Belarus)

22.11Italy's Clemente Russo is given a walkover due to Angola's Tumba Silva not attending the weigh-in.

22.05Okay... something has gone wrong here. The referee has disqualified the Iranian for holding. Embarrassing decision.

22.01On now: Jose Larduet (Cuba) vs Ali Mazaheri (Iran)

21.45On now: Teymur Mammadov (Azerbaijan) vs Jai Tapu Opetaia (Australia)

21.37Wow... 22-17 to Abdulhamidov. Not sure what to make of that!

21.36Decision time!

21.35Abdulhamidov was out on his feet, the energy just seemed to sap from his legs!

21.35This is extraordinary! Shimizu could have turned this round! Some disgraceful refereeing there as Abdulhamidov fell to the floor time after time and was not given a count!

21.26A big right hand sent Shimizu crashing in the last round, but Abdulhamidov only leads by two. It was a belting shot. Very dangerous.

21.23Shimizu was lucky to get past Dogboe in the last round. I don't expect him to be so lucky against the second seed.

21.20Let's hope for better from this one...

21.20Next up: Satoshi Shimizu (Japan) vs Magomed Abdulhamidov (Azerbaijan)

21.13Clinch... clinch... clinch... Oudahi leading 10-7.

21.09Oudahi looks to have too much for Encarnacion. 5-3 up and doing well.

21.05On now: Mohamed Amine Ouadahi (Algeria) vs William Encarnacion (Dominican Republic)

20.58The second ends level, so it's Dalakliev leading by one. Last round.

20.52Even first round sees Dalakliev leading 5-4.

20.49Dalakliev fought well in the last round, while Balla won a close decision.

20.45Next up: Ibrahim Balla (Australia) vs Detelin Dalakliev (Bulgaria)

20.45A decent performance from Campbell, who deservedly advances to the quarter-finals. Four out of four for Great Britain!

DecisionCampbell wins 11-9

Round 3A final exchange of scoring blows and I think Campbell has done enough. We await the judges decision...

Round 3Parrinello has launched his last stand but nothing is getting through.

Round 3Decent right from Parrinello. Final minute.

Round 3Stiff left from Campbell but Parrinello comes forward again and lands to the body.

Round 3Parrinello has to throw some caution to the wind here.

End of Round 2Campbell has opened up a two-point cushion. His defence was much tighter in that round. Final three minutes...

Round 2Parrinello lands to the body. Campbell glances one of the Italian's head guard.

Round 2Campbell counters with the left. Best shot of the round so far.

Round 2Campbell winds up but Parrinello slips him well. The Italian unloads but Campbell blocks. Even stevens...

End of Round 1Campbell has produced the better quality so far, but the first round ends 3-3.

Round 1He's taking his time here Campbell, looking very comfortable.

Round 1Beautiful left from Campbell!

Round 1Cautious start, Campbell throws out the right.

20.30Campbell, in red, has height and reach over Parrinello, in blue. We're just about ready to go...

20.29The fighters are on their way to the ring to the musical stylings of the Guns 'n' Roses.

20.26He also scooped gold at the 2008 European Amateur Championships in Liverpool.

20.24Campbell was a silver medallist at the World Championships in Baku last year and received a bye in the first round.

20.19The Italian defeated Namibia's Jonas Matheus in the last round. He looked ok, but in truth he was up against a poor opponent.

20.15Welcome back for live commentary of the evening session from the ExCel Centre. Luke Campbell is first up in the bantamweight class, attempting to make it four our of four for the British squad.

16.43Join us again for tonight's session, which kicks off with Luke Campbell taking on Jahyn Vittorio Parrinello at 8.30pm and ends with Anthony Joshua taking on Erislandy Savon. Should be a cracker!

16.42John Joe Nevin boxed very well to book his place in the quarter-finals. He played Abutalipov at his own game and won 15-10.

16.40Hunter was unlucky against Beterbiev. That result could have gone either way, which was reflected by the 10-10 score. The Russian won through on count-back.

16.39So not a good session for the USA, who see three fighters sent packing. Diaz fought well against Alvarez, but the Cuban's counter-punching earned him the victory.

16.28Frenetic finish... Perea stuns the Italian, but cannot down him. Cammarelle wins.

16.23Seven points is the difference between the two men now. It's too easy.

16.18The Italian is in cruise control.

16.16Cammarelle, as you may remember, defeated David Price in Beijing and went on to win gold.

16.15Next up: Ytalo Perea Castillo (Ecuador) vs Roberto Cammarelle (Italy)

16.03... Butterbean would be proud.

16.02Arjaoui has a good super heavyweight build - take from that what you will...

16.00Next up: Mohammed Arjaoui (Morocco) vs Blaise Yemou Mendouo (Cameroon)

15.45Five-zip to Omarov after the first.

15.42Up next: Magomed Omarov (Russia) vs Dominic Breazeale (United States)

15.28Here come the big lads... it's super heavyweight time!

15.27Up next: Magomedrasul Medzhidov (Azerbaijan) vs Meji Mwanba (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

15.27Jara wraps up seven-point victory. Good performance from the Argentine.

15.16Two nice shots from the Argentine and a low blow from the Algerian sees Jara 5-1 in front.

15.11Up next: Peralta Jara (Argentina) vs Chouaib Bouloudinats (Algeria)

15.10It's a 10-7 victory for Pulev, who never really looked in trouble.

15.07Better round from Wang but not enough. The Bulgarian should be through here.

15.03Wang can't land anything meaningful and Pulev is leading by three. Last round.

14.57Pulev has already sent his man down and looks well on top.

14.56On now: Tervel Pulev (Bulgaria) vs Xuanxuan Wang (China)

14.56Beterbiev comeback denies Hunter Jnr. The American clinched like there was no tomorrow in the final three minutes. It was close, could have gone either way. I didn't think that Beterbiev did anything spectacular in the final round, either.

14.44Even round - 4-4 - Hunter leads by one point heading into the decider.

14.41Hunter takes a 4-3 lead. Right hand looks like his favourite shot, landed three of them in the first.

14.38On now: Artur Beterbiev (Russia) vs Michael Hunter Jr (United States). The first heavyweight bout of the Olympics.

14.37Valdez stuns Yunusov. Great display from the Mexican to consign the number-one ranked fighter to an early exit.

14.31Yunusov is going out here. He has more or less ignored the body.

14.24Valdez put Yunusov under some pressure in that round, but the Tajik looked very nimble on his feet.

14.20Next up: Oscar Valdez Fierro (Mexico) vs Anvar Yunusov (Tajikistan)

14.19A great performance from Nevin, who advances to the quarter-finals

14.13Nevin is boxing well here. Under pressure in the third but leading by five.

14.07Nevin is 5-2 in front after the first. The Kazakh is waiting to counter... but you can't wait forever. Good start from Nevin, boxing at range.

14.03Nevin looked good in his first bout, let's see if he can get to the quarters.

14.03Next up: John Joe Nevin (Ireland) vs Kanat Abutalipov (Kazakhstan)

14.02there you have it - Vodipiyanov dumped out by Vieira. The Brazilian deserves his victory, good performance off the back foot. Looked sharp and Vodipiyanov couldn't get antything going.

13.59Vodipiyanov can't have done enough in that last round. He could be going home here, and I think he'd deserve to...

13.55Vieira in front heading into the last. It's a bit of a chess match so far, Vodipiyanov needs to come out strongly.

13.51Not a bad opening round. Vieira landed a nice straight right and followed it up with a left hook to win it 3-2.

13.46On now: Sergey Vodopiyanov (Russia) vs Robenilson Vieira (Brazil)

13.45A closer fight the the 21-15 scoreline suggest, but it's Alvarez who takes his place in the quarter finals

13.34Alvarez leads 7-6. Good start by both though.

13.31Plus, it's the USA vs Cuba - what's not to like?

13.30First up is Lazaro Alvarez (Cuba) vs Joseph Diaz Jr (United States). Diaz looked like a good little fighter in his win over Ischenko. Although this represents a far tougher task - world champion Alvarez.

13.28Welcome to day five at the ExCel Centre. The competition should step up a notch today with the super heavyweight and heavyweights - and especially the round of 16 for the bantamweights.
