Kyle Korver relieved by Atlanta Hawks win

Kyle Korver had admitted that he was preparing for overtime when the Atlanta Hawks secured a narrow win over the Washington Wizards to reach the Eastern Conference finals.

The Wizards thought that they had tied the game when Paul Pierce found the basket at the buzzer, but replays revealed that he released the ball after the clock had expired, handing Atlanta a 94-91 win.

The shooting guard told ESPN: "It went in and it's just like, 'You've got to be kidding me. That did not just happen'. I thought he got it off. I was getting ready for overtime. And then, you're like, 'Heeeeyyyy! All right! We'll take it!'"

The Hawks will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals from next Wednesday.
