Marcin Gortat limited by food poisoning

The Washington Wizards have revealed that Marcin Gortat was limited in their final game against the Atlanta Hawks because of food poisoning.

The center featured for just over four minutes in the 94-91 defeat, which eliminated the Wizards from the playoffs.

Coach Randy Wittman told CSN Washington: "March was sick all night last night, throwing up all day today, IVs last night, IVs all day today, he tried to do what he could do but he didn't have any energy. I appreciate him giving me the effort and trying."

Gortat averaged over 30 minutes per game, 12.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in his 10 appearances for Washington in this year's playoffs.
