Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri has responded to Washington Wizards veteran Paul Pierce's jibe at the franchise.

Pierce stated that he believes the Raptors "don't have the 'it' that makes you worried" ahead of their first-round playoff series which starts on Saturday.

"I've been trying to figure that out [what Pierce means by 'it'], and I honestly don't have enough money to respond to him," Ujiri said, according to ESPN.

"If I did have enough money, everybody knows exactly how I would respond to it and how the whole of Toronto would respond to it."

Ujiri was famously fined after he shouted "Fuck Brooklyn" during a fan rally outside of the Air Canada Centre before Game 1 of the playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets last season.
