James Borrego re-joins San Antonio Spurs as assistant coach

Spurs re-hire James Borrego

The San Antonio Spurs have today announced that they have re-hired James Borrego as their assistant coach.

The 38-year-old worked for the team between 2003 and 2010, which coincided with two of their championship victories in 2005 and 2007.

He moved to be the assistant coach at the New Orleans Pelicans in 2010, before he joined Orlando Magic.

Borrego had a spell in charge of the Magic last season, but they posted a 10-20 losing record under his stewardship.
