San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has expressed his belief that his side have changed their philosophy since the last time they won the NBA Championship.
The Spurs currently hold a 1-0 lead over the Miami Heat in the NBA finals following their 110-95 victory in the first game of the series.
Popovich feels that his side have had to adapt since their last NBA title success in 2007 to become a better offensive team to match teams like the Heat.
"We're not as good as we used to be defensively," Popovich told reporters. "So, if that's going to diminish, you need to do something at the other end of the floor to make up for it.
"We changed our pace, and the way we approach things at the other end of the floor to make up for what we're going to lose defensively."
San Antonio face off against the Heat in game two of the finals later today.
