Kings sign Butler on two-year contract

The Sacramento Kings have signed forward Caron Butler on a two-year deal.

The 34-year-old was already involved in an off-season trade deal with the Milwaukee Bucks when he was part of the transfer that took Ersan Ilyasova to the Detroit Pistons.

However, Butler was waived by the Bucks 19 days after his arrival at the club, but he has now been picked up by the Kings on a two-year contract worth $3m (£1.9m).

Butler has averaged 14.3 points per game in his 14-year career.
