Miami Heat keep streak going with fourth-quarter demolition of Toronto Raptors

Heat keep streak going

The Miami Heat have extended their NBA winning streak to 22 by racing away in the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors this afternoon.

The defending champions were pegged back to just a three-point lead by home side Toronto in the third, but dominated the final quarter 32-18 to take the match 108-91.

Reigning MVP LeBron James almost notched a trible-double but fell short on assists, ending with 22 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists while Rudy Gay led the Raptors with 27 points at the Air Canada Center.

The record NBA win streak was set by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1971-72 at 33 straight games. Miami will go for number 23 at the Boston Celtics tomorrow night.
