New York Knicks recall Chris Smith from D-League

The New York Knicks recall point guard Chris Smith from D-League side Erie BayHawks.

The New York Knicks have recalled Chris Smith from the NBA's Development side to strengthen their injury-hit roster.

The point guard, who is the younger brother of Knicks small forward JR Smith, was sent to the Erie BayHawks last month, having joined New York during the pre-season.

The team is currently without point guard Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni, while forwards Kenyon Martin and Amar'e Stoudemire will also miss this evening's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Smith has averaged 11.3 points per game during his spell in the D-League.
