LeBron James: 'Short sleeves affected shooting'

James: 'Short sleeves affected shooting'

LeBron James has said that the short-sleeved jerseys the Miami Heat had to wear for their game against the San Antonio Spurs affected his shooting.

The forward was held to 19 points during the 111-87 defeat, which was the defending champions' heaviest loss of the season.

The four-time MVP told reporters: "I'm not making any excuses, but I'm not a big fan of the jerseys. So I have to figure something out next time I have to wear the short-sleeve jerseys.

"Every time I shoot, it feels like it's just pulling right up underneath my arm. I already don't have much room for error on my jump shot anyways, so it's definitely not a good thing."

Teams who played last night had to wear short-sleeved T-shirt jerseys as part of this season's Latin Nights series, rather than the traditional sleeveless vests.
