Mike D'Antoni: 'Los Angeles Lakers didn't react well'

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni believes that his side did not cope well with the Denver Nuggets' athleticism.

Mike D'Antoni has said that the Los Angeles Lakers did not react well during their defeat to the Denver Nuggets last night.

The home side were beaten 111-99, leaving them with four wins from their opening 10 games of the season.

The team's head coach told reporters: "They just came at us. We didn't react very well to their speed and athleticism. That was a recurring theme throughout the game, their athleticism.

"They just beat us to the ball. Their foot speed was more than ours most of the time."

The Lakers play the Memphis Grizzlies tomorrow.
