NBA roundup: Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets win

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday's games in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors made it 10 wins in a row as they edged to victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, despite Blake Griffin scoring 40 for the hosts.

Griffin got the Clippers off to a strong start as they opened up a 12-point advantage by the end of the first quarter.

However, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry rallied for the Western Conference leaders, combining for 52 to put the visitors ahead late on.

The San Antonio Spurs will need just one more win to secure their place in the playoffs after comfortably beating the Miami Heat.

The defending NBA champions were ahead before the break and continued to pile the points on in the third quarter, with Kawhi Leonard leading the way.

Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade tried to get the Heat back into the tie late on, but Tony Parker kept San Antonio in front in the fourth quarter, leaving them able to clinch their playoff spot with a win over Orlando later today.

The Brooklyn Nets moved into the final playoff place in the Eastern Conference with their fourth win in a row as they beat the Indiana Pacers.

The hosts opened up a big lead in the first quarter before the Pacers cut the gap to three points with two minutes remaining.

However, Joe Johnson made five straight shots to restore Brooklyn's advantage, while Brook Lopez finished with 24 to make sure the home side claimed eighth place in the standings.

The Detroit Pistons picked up their fifth win in six outings as they secured a victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

The sides were closely matched in the first half but the home side gradually edged ahead after the break, with Andre Drummond leading the scoring with 22 points.
