Report: Washington Wizards want Greg Monroe

The Washington Wizards are reportedly monitoring Greg Monroe's situation with the Detroit Pistons.

The 23-year-old is a restricted free agent this summer, and if the Pistons aren't willing to offer him a max contract, they may be tempted into trading him ahead of the February 20 deadline.

It is also reported that the Wizards may make the necessary cap space moves in order to try to sign him as a free agent, according to Basketball Insider.

Monroe is averaging 16.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game so far this season, with the Pistons under pressure to make roster changes.
