Dallas Mavericks re-sign point guard JJ Barea on a four-year contract

The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed point guard JJ Barea to a new four-year contract.

Barea is to spend further time at the American Airlines Center, as the franchise continues to lock in some key players ahead of the next NBA season.

Several reports in the press suggest that the guard's new deal is worth in the region of $16m (£10.2m).

Dallas recently announced the news that they have captured the signature of former Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams.
