Rajon Rondo ruled out indefinetly

Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle reveals that he doesn't expect Rajon Rondo to play for the franchise again.

Dallas Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo has been ruled out indefinitely with a back injury, although reports also suggest that he has fallen out with coach Rick Carlisle.

Carlisle revealed that he doesn't expect the 29-year-old to be in a Mavericks uniform next season, given that he will be a free agent this summer.

Rondo played just 34 seconds of the second half in the loss to the Houston Rockets in game two of their first-round playoff series earlier this week.

"He wasn't able to play his game or play as well as he can play. Today, it's not good, so he is going to seek additional opinions. That's where things are at with him," Carlisle said, according to ESPN.

Carlisle conceded that he knew the announcement would be interpreted differently, but stressed that he needs all of his players at their competitive best at a critical stage of the season.
