Steve Kerr: Andre Iguodala did "extremely well"

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr insists that Andre Iguodala did "extremely well" defending against LeBron James in game one of the NBA Finals.

Steve Kerr has said that Andre Iguodala did "extremely well" defending LeBron James in the Golden State Warriors' win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The guard was placed on the four-time MVP, who scored 44 points but was unable to add more than two in overtime, allowing the Western Conference champions to clinch a 108-100 victory.

The coach told reporters: "Andre is one of the smartest defenders I've ever seen. I mean, he understands angles, he understands where everybody is on the floor.

"You know, it's funny to say when a guy gets 44 points that the defender did a really good job, but I thought Andre did extremely well. Made LeBron take some tough shots."

Iguodala also scored 15 points during the game for the Warriors.
