Cleveland Cavaliers hopeful on Ray Allen deal?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 'optimistic' about capturing the signature of free agent Ray Allen, according to an NBA journalist.

Before taking free agency, Allen was thought to be keen on linking up with LeBron James, with Yahoo! Sports journalist Marc J Spears tweeting that the franchise is hopeful of securing a deal.

The Cavs are also optimistic about their chances of signing free agent guard Ray Allen prior to the start of training camp, a source said.
