Prokhorov still optimistic

Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov insists that he is still optimistic about the franchise's chances this season and in the future.

The wealthy businessman, who attended the game at the O2 in London on Thursday night, believes his expensively assembled roster will deliver.

"I'm realistic in sports. We have a lot of new players. We have unfortunately a lot of injuries, so it's not an excuse. There is a positive atmosphere, it was full support for Jason Kidd," ESPN quotes him as saying.

Brooklyn defeated the Atlanta Hawks 127-110 on Thursday to move to 16-22 for the season.
