Team England's Chris and Gabby Adcock progress to the badminton mixed doubles semi-finals following their victory over Singapore at the Commonwealth Games.

Team England's Chris and Gabby Adcock have advanced to the semi-finals of the mixed doubles badminton at the Commonwealth Games.

The husband-and-wife team defeated Singapore's Chayut Triyachart and Lei Yao in straight sets at the Emirates Arena to reach the last four of the competition.

The duo started the game in confident fashion and dominated the Singapore pair with an array of strokes to take the first game comfortably by a scoreline of 21-13.

Chris and Gabby sealed their place in the semi-finals as they took control of the second game and eased to a 21-14 in 15 minutes.

The Adcocks will be back in action for their last-four clash on Saturday.
